The
installation of XP patch KB911567 prevents an .eml stationery from being
opened as an unsent message. In other words: it cannot be sent. There is
now a patch. Click HERE
for more information and installation.
EML
files
My stationery is for use with
Outlook Express 5.5 and higher and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
If you have upgraded to Outlook Express version 6.0,
there are a few steps that need to be done to be able to see the
stationery properly:
-
open Outlook Express 6
-
go in the Menu to
"Tools" / "Options"
-
select the Security Tab
-
change the options from
"restricted zone" to "Internet
zone" (less secure but more functional)
-
choose OK
You are now able to view all stationery made for Outlook
Express 5+ and higher.
My stationery will download
in .eml format. This format comes in one easy-to-use file
instead of a zip with midi, image(s), html.
This saves time, space on your HD and confusion. No more images
with the same name in your folder.
Unzip the downloaded .eml zipfile to a folder of your choice.
You can rename it and easily remove it by deleting the
"envelope". When you want to use it, just click on the
envelope and the stationery opens up in OE and is ready to
use and re-use.
Many stationery pieces do
not always display correctly when you open them to write your
message. This does not mean that they do not work correctly.
Test the stationery to see how it
looks like when sent.
-
have your "New
Message" window open
-
select
"View" (toolbar near the top of your screen)
-
from the drop-down
menu, select "Source Edit" this will
give you three option tags at the bottom of the window
-
select
"Preview" and it will let you see what your
stationery is going to look like when the other
person receives it
-
go back to the first
tab "Edit" because this is the tab to
compose and send your message.
